Are you passionate about cycling and love taking on climb challenges? BikeCompanion allows you to hunt and climb as many mountain passes \/ peaks as possible to enrich your cycling experience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What is climb hunting?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

On BikeCompanion, you have access to a complete list of peaks and climbs. Each peak you conquer earns you points and, more importantly, it is automatically recorded in your logbook with your climbing time. It’s the perfect opportunity to track your performance and set new goals!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How to find nearby peaks<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Follow these simple steps to discover peaks near your position:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Open the route creation module in the BikeCompanion app<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Click on the “peak” icon (red circle on the screenshot above)<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. The application will automatically load all peaks near the center of the map<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  4. If you click on the red button (orange circle), it will add a point to your route<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  5. If you click on the green circle it will show you the climb profile<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    Tip:<\/strong> If you move the map to another location, remember to click on the mountain icon again to refresh the list of nearby peaks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Understanding the displayed information<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    The distance shown next to each peak corresponds to the straight-line distance from the center of the map. To get the actual distance by road, you will need to position the route points along your course.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Create a route to a peak<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    To plan your route to a specific peak:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    1. Find the peak you’re interested in from the nearby peaks list or directly by clicking on the peak on the map.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    2. Click on the red “To this peak” button<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    3. A route point will be automatically added at the coordinates of the selected peak.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

      Peaks with official climbs<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

      Some peaks have linked official climbs. These routes are recognized and allow you to compare your performance with other cyclists.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Track your conquered peaks<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

      After climbing a peak, you can find all your achievements in your logbook:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      1. Access your logbook<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      2. Select the “Climbed peaks” section<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      3. View the complete list of all the peaks you’ve climbed, with your climbing times<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n
